Make 2018 The Year to Treat Yourself

Breast Implant LAYTON, UTIf you watched the hit series Parks and Rec, then you know all about what it means to “treat yo-self” and now that the holidays are behind us, now is the best time to look at what you want from the year, set goals, and turn them into a reality. If you have always wanted to get a breast augmentation but haven’t pulled the trigger, make 2018 the year of finally getting it done.

With the help of Dr. York Yates and his staff at our Layton office, we can help you get the desired shape, size, and material of implant that you want.

There are two types of breast implant shapes that Dr. York Yates offers: teardrop and round implants. Teardrop implants or gummy bear implants are newer to the plastic surgery market and give patients a more natural looking shape of a breast. Whereas traditional breast implants are rounder in shape.

One of the biggest things to consider— no pun intended— is the size of implant that you want. During your initial consultation, we will help you decide what size of implant you want and what size of the implant is suitable for your frame. For instance, if you are petite, we may recommend a smaller size of the implant than we would for someone who is tall.

Another thing to consider is the material of breast implant that you want. Here at our office, we offer patients three types of implants to choose from including saline, silicone, and gummy bear implants.

  • Saline: Saline will give you a firmer material but is popular because it is made of an all natural saltwater solution.
  • Silicone: Patients keep coming back to silicone implants time after time because they have a softer, more natural feeling material.
  • Gummy Bear: As previously mentioned, gummy bear implants are the newest type of implant that we offer patients. As a type of semi-solid silicone implant, gummy bear implants give patients an even more natural feeling implant than with traditional silicone implants.
