Is It Possible to Get a Breast Augmentation and Recover In Time For Thanksgiving?

Breast Augmentation Salt Lake City, UTGetting ready for the holidays requires a little bit more than just getting people together around the dinner table and having delicious food to it; if it were that simple, then it wouldn’t be the holidays. In addition to hosting parties and celebrating the true meaning of the holidays, we have a lot of patients who want to look like their best selves before they start going to parties. If you have been wanting to get a breast augmentation from Dr. York Yates but just aren’t sure if you will be able to recover before Thanksgiving then this article is for you. Let’s take a closer look at some things to know.

Recovery Time

One thing to know about breast augmentation surgeries is that even though they are a surgical procedure, we see a lot of patients feeling like themselves again after just a few days but some patients take an entire week to really feel like themselves. Depending on the type of implant that you decide to go with, it may influence how long your recovery is. For instance, patients who get a saline implant sometimes have a shorter recovery time because the incision that we make is a lot smaller than with silicone implants; the smaller the incision, the smaller the recovery time; for the most part. The best thing that you can do is talk with Dr. York Yates in your consultation appointment to see how much recovery time he thinks that you will need in order to be back to your normal self.

Taking It Easy Still

If you are throwing Thanksgiving at your house but want to get an augmentation earlier on in the month, then you should still be able to do it all. But, we do encourage patients to get someone to help with things like heavy lifting (even the turkey) and anything that’s too strenuous. Plus, this may be your perfect opportunity  finally get your kids to help you cook in the kitchen.

It is possible for patients to get a breast augmentation earlier on in the month and be recovered in time for thanksgiving, but during your initial consultation Dr. Yates will give you a better idea of whether or not this is a good idea.
